It's actually fun in Grixis Delver in modern. Bolt, draw. Attack with Delver, draw.

The problem I imagine in Grixis Delver is tapping low or out on your turn for a 1/3.

Wouldn't you rather be holding up Mana Leak/Shadow of Doubt/Electrolyze/Bolt/Vendilion Clique/infinite list of better cards?

I actually saw this in UW Merfolk streaming at an Modern Daily. The card held its all, mostly being a chump blocker. The card, when it did trigger, was absolutely amazing.
