Re: [Cycle] Gatekeepers
It's strange. Opal Lake has a <1 CMC effect attached, Ubul Sar a 1 CMC effect, Saruli a 2 CMC effect (a bad one though), Sunspire a 2 CMC effect, then suddenly Smelt-Ward gets a 3 CMC effect. All very strange. It's a very awkward effect too, because it's a fairly aggressive effect on a defensive card. It's really the Grixis-coloured ones that really shine in the Limited format.

Aparently the Green one has been doing well in limited.

Only really if you're playing some big a** 5-Colour Control thing. Travis Woo's insisting on using it. It's definitely still the worst one. With the choice, I think I'd choose Sunspire before Saruli, even in control variants.

Saruli are pretty good, it basically puts an aggro deck a turn behind, without losing any cards for you.

DGM-GTC-RTR is definitely not an aggro format though. Maybe in the sideboard, but seeing good aggro decks is a rarity; especially when compared to the number of good midrange and control decks there are. It's a very bomby format.

I don't exactly see it being played in any deck other than Limited. I imagine that even Heroes' Reunion is more likely to be played elsewhere.

Is it good in Pauper? I imagine playing playing white for Centaur Healer before this.

Re: [Cycle] Gatekeepers
I'd say it's even better than Healer most of the time, except in certain decks (like, T2 Healer is still a total bomb).

Interesting enough, IMO, the worst one in limited is Ubul Sar, because most creatures are x/4.

Re: [Cycle] Gatekeepers
Opal Lake is nothing amazing, but it's a cantrip on a nice body. Saruli is good against aggro. Smelt-Ward is hilarious at stealing opponent's win conditions. Sunspire is 2 bodies in 1, which is pretty amazing. Ubul Sar...yeah, it's the only medicore one.

Yes the Green one turned lost games into won games with those 7 Lifes...Seriously 7 Lifes is a HUGE diference...plus in that kind of body those 7 lifes lasted like a LOT

Aggro is still viable in RTR block draft.
Saruli and Sunspire are easily the best since they grant you the biggest tempo boost.

On a more unrelated note...Luis, you play LoL? O.o
More OT: I feel like making a Maze End deck with those.
