This effect solidifies the thought that a Cipher card for milling will come out soon.

Re: Lazav, Dimir Mastermind
I guessed surprisingly close to this card in that Speculative Dimir thread.
I can see tons of trigger issues just casually appearing with Lazav though. People have already gone mad with what to clone. Upon the shortlist was Hexproof Thundermaws and Hexproof Angel of Serenities.

Re: Lazav, Dimir Mastermind
The fact that he's black as well opens his deck to a plethora of kill spells to tutor to activate his effect from the field.

From the Lazav me and Kira made, we did get Hexproof right.

I don't know if it's Standard playable, but it'll be awesome to be used in casual.

It's far from standard playable. If it worked on your own cards it'd be amazing, but it doesn't.

If only it did so we could use it in reanimator

Re: Lazav, Dimir Mastermind
I'm under the presumption that most of the guild leaders (so far, only Trostani has said otherwise) aren't really Standard-viable. But in Casual...
Actually, it would be pretty funny to kill Jin-Gitaxias, then clone it onto Laxav and reap the benefits yourself. Even though you'd be dropping a lot of cards yourself, so it's counter-intuitive.
But I'm sure there's a way. Honestly, Laxav and Aurelia are my two interest points for Casual/EDH.

Just wait until you see what Obzedat will do in Standard.
