I honestly have nothing else left to say. Everything I can bother saying's already been said and done.

I was bullying from 2nd Grade to 7th Grade. Then on 8th Grade I just started to beat the shit out of everyone. I broke the arm of one guy and literally bite the arm of another dude until it bleed. I also punched a guy on the teethes, and he was using braces.

After a bunch of warnings and even a suspension, most of the bullies stopped, I got myself some friends and ALMOST got myself a girlfriend.

I regret nothing. Bullying happens, but it's not impossible to deal with it. Sometimes you just gotta keep fighting, even if that means literally.

The fight's different tho'. We're not all 'equipped' per se, to deal with bullshit like someone pushing you around just because you look different/act differently. The whole "deal with it" argument doesn't work for those with a different mind-set. There's people that are strong, and then there's the mentally weak.

Yes, while bullies aren't 100% to blame, there's such a thing as meeting half way. The bully could lay off, and the victim can learn to somewhat do something (like run to proper authority) when shit goes down. However, does a bully ever stop doing it? No. The pushing keeps going til something absolutely bloody retarded happens, i.e; a gun is brought into school, or suicide.

I have more to say, but meh.

I have no idea why people say victims have to stand up to bullies because it's the only way to deal with it. It's not, people don't have the mental or physical prowess to do such. It does fall under the victim to get help, but it falls under the bully when people get hurt. I also don't understand how bullies and such live with knowing they cause deaths and suicides a good percentage of the time.

Quite frankly, I don't care what people say about having to be toughened up for the future or any of that shit. Bullying is bullying, people get hurt, people get killed, people kill themselves. The ones who cause that in the first place are scum to me.

Just gonna point out that such a negligible amount of any given population will ever actually commit suicide that expressing it almost like it's the "big issue" is pretty stupid.

Although, from what I was gonna say, Johnny said pretty much all of it.

And idk how the whole story Goose linked goes, since it was too depressing for me to want to finish watching.

Sometimes you can stand up to the bullies, and sometimes there's absolutely nothing you can do, and I say that as a victim of numerous bullies from when I was 6 'til I was 13.

Some bullies can stop easily, just by you going to get help. Sometimes, no matter what you do, it can be damn near impossible to do so. Heck, a while after one of the kids that used to bully me got expelled from middle school, he was hanging around my bus stop and tried to shoot me with metal BB bullets. I guess it can be considered fortunate he was already having trouble with the police, so it stopped after that time.

Point is, some bullies go to stupid extremes, and they can just be impossible to stop.

They're the absolute scum of the Earth, but in reality we'll never, ever be able to deal with all of them.

Then, of course, everyone takes their experiences differently, some people end up developing social anxiety, unstable mental states, the whole nine yards. Then, there are people who end up toughening up from it, or manage to fight back and win, and the latter are a lot more fortunate. The thing is, the damage is done by then, and no one deserves it. Just makes me wish that, as a race, we could actually support each other more, and not stand idly by when we do see shit like that happening to people, and f*** I'm guilty of just standing idly by without intervening when I could've helped. It's human flaw, unfortunately, but it's about time people step it up a notch if they really want to deal with bullying.

The worst part is that I think the Canadian government isn't pressing charges.

Chris you're pretty wrong. In the US, the number of deaths yearly caused by plane crashes is 138 (averaged in a 10 year span that includes 9/11, this figured is way higher than reality) and the number of people killed in car accidents was just over 3000 a year. That is in a country 10 times a big in Canada. According to Rick Mercer, 300 Canadian teenagers commit suicide each year. Suicide is as big a problem as card accidents.

In the case of Amanda Todd, she changed schools twice, going to three different place, to try to get away from her past, but she couldn't. That isn't the kind of bullying you can just "stand up to". That's a problem with society.

300 is a minor and relatively negligible number when you have a population of 35 million. Just saying.

I'm not saying it's completely ignorable, but it should never be used as a remote reason against bullying, because those are suicide rates annually, including all non-bullying related incidences.

And car accidents aren't considered a major issue. If they were really horrifically bad at that number, then people wouldn't be driving cars around everyday, would they?

Point is, suicide simply shouldn't be used as a base figure, it's only ever in extreme cases, where the victim can't handle such a stressful situation and proceed to off themselves.

There are plenty of other factors to bullying that should be used as a point against it, ranging from trauma, to psychological disorder development, both of which are incredibly more likely than suicide.

4000 suicides in the US in 2007. That figure is way too high and don't try to trivialize it. 7 people in 100 000 taking their own lives is too high in any world. I understand that it causes more than just suicide, but we can't say that the number of suicides is "minor and negligible" when they are virtually all preventable. There is a giant difference between preventable and natural.

    Oh, absolutely.

I might've just poorly phrased it, I just meant in terms of using it in terms of bullycide, where there absolutely tons of other more likely effects to take place on a victim.

No one should ever be pushed to the point of offing themselves; I agree with that entirely.

To be perfectly honest, bullying has made me feel bad once. That was when I left that specific school to return to the other one I was used to be at. I've made some mistakes and made myself a target for bullying. I recognized this and since fighting against it head to head wasn't the smartest idea, I just moved away. One could say I ran away, and frankly, that IS what happened, but I don't regret it or feel guilty about it.

But all the other types of bullying I suffered from, I could easily brush off, "agree" with it, laugh together, etc. I've never ever considered any form of self harm or suicide because I never saw that bullying as a bad thing. I've always thought of it as a natural thing that most people has to pass through. I was never a bully myself at any given time, either, because it's pointless to make someone feel bad for such an insignificant illusion of "superiority".

That's probably why it's kind of hard to me to imagine people suffering so much from bullying, since I always could deal with it easily. I can't help but think everyone can deal with it too, but I know that in practice that's virtually impossible.

For those who can't, the message I can leave is that you don't die to get rid of your pain. You live above it. Everyone has the same level of strength, but most have it hidden. It takes a big, good thing to trigger the will to move on. That big and good thing is usually your closest friends.

I've been bullied at various points in life.

When I was at primary school, it didn't hugely bother me. I mean yes, I was being bullied, but it was never something that made me hate life.

At High school, I matured enough to tell the difference between bullying and just friends mucking about, and I could cope with it a bit better. But its still a crappy thing pathetic people do to make themselves feel good by inflicting pain on others. Whatever the reason, to me it makes you weak.

Lately, when Im in a low mood, I've had some idiots decide to bully me again. I ignore them as best I can, despite wanting to find an Icepick and gut them. I admit inflicting pain on other can be satisfying when you are hurt, but there is a limit.

I can't accept any human being who has caused someone to kill themselves and brush it off as a person. They are the lowest anyone can get. Having someone else blood on your hands is a crappy feeling, and I can't understand anyone who can brush it off.

As for the otherside, that the victims should do something about it. There are times when it won't help. Where getting help dealing with them will make things worse, or have them stay the same. Some people in my past even found the idea of me getting help laughable, and treated me worse for it. Calling me weak.

As a race, we are selfish. We generally do whats best to help ourselves, and not others. Bullies are just people who dont hide there selfish acts behind civility in my opinion. Feel free to argue, but thats what my expierences have lead me to believe.
