If anyone else remembers, I created a ride chain a few months ago. At the time I didn't understand what effects were powerfull and what was not. So they were horrible overpowered, like the Grade 1 that would let you draw a card for every rear guard you had. So now that I understand everything better I tried my hand at remaking it. Tell me what you think.
Grade-0
Name- Mordred-The Kings Nephew
Power-5000
VC- When a unit names "Young Sworsman-Mordred" rides this unit look at the top 5 cards of your deck. Add one "Dark Knight-Mordred" or "Blaster Dark" to your hand put the rest into your drop zone.
Grade 1
Name- Young Swordsman-Mordred
Power-7000
VC- When a Unit names "Dark Knight-Mordred" Rides this unit you may discard one grade 2 or higher shadow paladin to draw 2 cards.
VC-When a Unit names "Blaster Dark" rides this unit you may soulblast 2. Until the end of turn that unit recieves power +2000.
Grade-2
Name- Dark Knight-Mordred
Power- 9000
VC-When you ride this unit, if a card named "Young Swordsman-Mordred" is in your soul you may retire one Shadow Paladin RG increase this units Power by the original Power of that unit until end of turn.
VC-If a Unit named"Phantom Blaster Dragon" rides this unit you may Soulblast 3, that unit gets power +5000 until the end of turn.
Grade-3
Name- Mordred-The Killer of Kings
Power-11000
VC-Limit Break 4-Counter Blast 3- Until the end of the turn this unit recieves power +1000 for every Shadow Paladin in your drop zone.
VC- When this unit atacks a vanguard if it has power 20000 or higher it gets critical +1.
So far my biggest concern is if letting Blaster Dark and PBD benefit from the chain is too powerfull for them. My next is if the Limit Break on Killer of Kings would let his power get too high, since you can only do it once and there is the threat of a perfect shield I thought it would be fine.
The last skill on Killer of Kings only works the moment you attack. Getting Triggers wont give you the extra critical so I hope I worded that right.
Edit- I made another Shadow Paladin unit and rather than make a new thread I'll just post it here for your thoughts. The name actually came from a thread on Pojo where you make a card based on a name the above user gives you.
Black Moon Dragon, Samhain
Grade-3
Power-11000
Skill-
VC-Limit Break 4-(Counterblast 3) Retire one of your Shadow Paladin RG this unit recieves power equal to that units power until the end of turn.
VC- Limit Break 4-(Soulblast 3) Durring the end of a battle involving this unit retire on of your Shadow Paladin RG, Stand this unit and it loses
