War games are fun, but war irl is just...just...so controversial.
People volunteer or get drafted, and basically they're pursuing a task more gruesome than any job in the US.
They undergo training that is meant to break them of their spirits and weed them out, but they struggle through it despite that the pain they witness is worse than they imagine.
Then they get deported into unknown territory and basically try to mow down the enemy just to weaken their moral more than anything, then hopefully find the leader and kill him, but he's usually in hiding.
But when they do all of this, you can't help but "respect" them for it, cause they take such a risk to keep our nation strong and proud.
Yet at the same time, you just want to punch them in the face for leaving you with the thought that you're either dead or dying, and there's nothing you can do about it.
I may just be a rambling moron right now, but I just don't see how people can just choose to live this way. I just can't.
