One of my greatest fears in life is failure.

Fortunately I'm the embodiment of perfection so it doesn't trouble me.

I suppose, if you are perfect then you don't need to worry about failing but at the same time, can being perfect be boring?

I am constantly afraid of falure. And of making others view me in a negative way.

And does it drive me to try and excel at not failing? Yeah, I mean half the time when I'm going to say or post something I don't becuase I don't like others looking at me in a negative way, or my advice or whatever being pointless.

Which is stupid becuase I always say I would rather try and fail, than to have not bother.

If you fear failing, then how will you ever succeed? When one fails, they learn, through learning you will better succeed next time.

I only fear that people will be too stupid to realize a failure. That would be an absolute worst scenario.

I'm not saying that being scared of failure makes you not fail but at the same time, you would try harder to not fail.

But at the same time you might not take the same risks someone who doesn't give a feth about failing would.

I'mma just add to what I said that, while I fear failure, it's that fear that actually makes me try harder to get what I do perfect. It's honestly one of the most helpful fears, imo.

Indeed, or for example, you would take criticism more harshly.

Words cannot describe how terrified I am at the possibility of failing. I've been constantly bashed for numerous failures my entire life. Whether it be my mother, my friends, or the like. I keep trying at whatever I believe I'm good at and improve with it. The goal of being good at just one thing is enough to keep me going.

I don't like failing, but I don't really fear it. It happens, and it's going to happen.

More like fear or good judgement.
To me, failure is more of a relative term for someone who's in it to succeed and not ready for such a let down.

I read it as "falling" at first, which didn't make particular sense with the title.
And yes. I am fairly scared of failure, mostly due to the awkwardness. As well as all other situations that puts me in an awkward position.

I am extremely afraid of failure which is why I have never done RP's even though I enjoy doing them so much. It is a very screwy fear.

Why not wait for someone else to post first? that way you can see the benchmark you have can live up to, which makes things a bit easier.

I can't help but fail half the time, which is stupid considering I hate it. And I always have to try and rectify it, its very hard to stop myself.

I don't like failure. I'm so used to success irl that I don't know how to handle failure. I don't post much deep stuff since I don't want to appear stupid and the like.

I know that feeling. and then I went to High School, and met the biggest jerk who has ever lived, and stupidly became best friends with him. I am willing to rant for hours about how much a d*** he is. But I won't, I shall sum him up in as few words as i can. A self obsessed abusive crybaby who tried to make everyone in the world how he wanted them, and would never admit he was wrong.

I used to be like him, and then I actually got capable of dealing with stuff that went wrong. Plus, I'm taking out my anger on him by slowing destroying his relationship.

Yes, I'm a slight arse, but in my defence she hates him as well.

    Pretty much this.

I'm terrified of failure, but that doesn't mean you just give up. If you do, nothing ever gets done and you might as well have failed anyways, because you've done nothing worthwhile. Succeeding 1% is better than 0%.
