Romance of the Three Regions (Rated E For EPIC...and Everyone)

Long ago, before the world of Pokemon existed only Arceus. Arceus to quench his loneliness created the first Pokemon, Mew. For the longest time these two enjoyed each other's company and they were content. Then one day Mew asked what he was, of which Arceus told him. Mew then asked if there were others, to which Arceus replied "Of course not, I do not require more than one companion."

Mew was distraught by this and began to withdraw from Arceus. Eventually Mew left, and Arceus was furious. Arceus rumbled and boiled and fumed for many centuries. After this time Mew returned and Arceus wasn't inclined to forgive him of this slight. Mew simply asked, "and what will you do to punish me? I am immortal, forever trapped at a single point."

At this Arceus let his anger go to far and created time. Mew pointed out that time would flow rampantly in all directions if not controlled. For this, Dialga was born. Mew then replied, "Where shall I go, for I flew and flew and found no where to stay."

For this Arceus created space and placed lands within it. Mew said that the land would grow barren without a warden. Palkia was conceived to prevent this. Mew lastly replied, "You have broken me, yet I was once one now there are three. I am a match for both of these, how will you stop me?"

Arceus was furious with Mew, for he felt that Mew was claiming to be Arceus's equal. Arceus then shattered Mew, and created Pokemon. He placed these Pokemon within space and bound them with time. It took him many days and many nights and when he was done he had two Pokemon left to place. One resembled the original Mew, and this saddened him for he realized what he had done.

Arceus sent this Mew down to the world of Pokemon and named him the Guardian of the land and it's Pokemon inhabitants.

The last remaining Pokemon was the remnants of Arceus's power molded with the original mew. This Pokemon was dubbed Giratina and was tasked with overseeing the balance of all things. For Arceus was tired and required rest. So he slept.

Articuno, Moltres, Zapdos, Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Regigigas, Latios, Latias, Uxie, Azelf, Mesprit, Zekrom

The year is 800 P.E. (Pokemon Era) and there exists 5 mighty nations of Pokemon. The Grand Republic ruled by the Council of Threes, of which Articuno, Entei, Registeel, and Uxie currently lead. This nation is a vast one covering a third of the world itself, and it's capital is the floating sky city of Hyminster. Pokemon starting their journey from this nation start in a modest, sleepy city beside a river that is best known as a haven for the arts. The majority of its inhabitants are involved in fishing, and it is considered notable for its remarkably beautiful view of the local forest.

To the north lies The Frozen wastes, while a small nation, this nation is among the most renown due to it's various ancient ruins. It is rumored to be lead by the infamous Zekrom, an exile from the Grand Republic.

The nations to the east, reachable only by sea travel, are known as the Commonwealth and the Wild Lands. The Wild Lands are nothing more than a wilderness where those who have refused the Commonwealth's views and position in the world reside. It is a dangerous place and fraught with peril. Pokemon starting their journey within this nation start in the capital Asgrove, a moderately sized, not very populous city built predominantly of black stone and defended by thick walls. It is well known for its lavish mausoleum. Most of its revenue comes from warfare.

Lastly there is the western neighbor of the Grand Republic, The Twin Kingdom. The Twin siblings Latias and Latios rule this land benevolently, and the nation has flourished. The capital of Apwood is a vast, and overcrowded city near the coast best known as a cultural mecca. The majority of its inhabitants are involved in foreign trade, and it is considered notable for its yearly harvest festival. Pokemon starting their journey in The Twin Kingdom will start in a smallish, sparsely populated city built predominantly of stone. It is well known for its yearly harvest festival. Most of its revenue comes from various spices exported throughout the kingdom.

The time is ripe, adventure awaits. Who's that Pokemon that will become a hero, a saint, a villian, perhaps even a ruler?

Personality: Spike is somewhat of a loner, very subdued and generally keeps his feelings to himself. However, he is a kind and caring Pokemon that will do anything to keep his friends safe, even at the risk of his own life. When engaged in honorable combat Spike can get somewhat carried away and refuse to allow his opponent to admit defeat pre-maturely. He acts with Chivalry to all women and peasants he meets, even though he himself is a peasant.

Character History: Spike is a peasant born Nidoran(Male) born in the southern portion of the Twin Kingdom. His family owns a mediocre farm in a valley, able to provide for the family of 7 and still make a profit when harvests are good. Nidoran grew up with stories of how his great-grandfather was a Knight of the Kingdom. Taking this to heart at an early age, Nidoran began to attempt to live his life by the codes of chivalry. Once reaching an appropriate age he set off to try and help people, hoping to become a Knight of the Kingdom like his great-grandfather.

Gender: Male

Pokemon: Riolu

Personality: On the outside, Leo's a bit on the adventurous side, always leading Amy along and tends to rush into things without thinking. He's also very in tune with how his younger companion feels, often adapting to her mood or trying to bring hers up. He feels very protective of and responsible for the Eevee in a similar manner to a brother or sister, but much more exaggerated at times, occasionally culminating in him trying to inspire her in odd ways. In addition, he's fairly introverted when it comes to meeting newer Pokemon, even if he doesn't show it.

Special Trait: Inner Focus

Character History: Leo's a fairly young Pokemon who was born in a smaller suburb of Hyminster, his father a fisherman like many of the residents of the town. As such, his father taught him how to swim when he was the equivalent of 5 year old human, on the off chance he fell in the water and for the fun of it. One day, as Leo was chasing a small fish in the water, he saw a young Eevee slip into the water, and shot over to her as she cried out. Once she was out of the water, she clung to his side until he got her to her parents, busy fishing. The little Eevee, Amy, started following Leo around after that, ever at his side as the two grew up together, becoming the best of friends. As the duo hit the equivalent 10 and 12 years old, Leo was to set out on an adventure, and the little Eevee wasn't to be left behind.

Special Trait: Adaptability

Character History: Amy was born to a Vaporeon in a low class suburb of Hyminster. Her mother had to work constantly, helping her father on the small fishing boats, along with with her older brother. Due to this, they never had much time for Amy, and she was never able to learn to swim, as they planned to teach her before she started to help them. . One day, she was out exploring the docks, pawing at the water on a particularly hot day. Of course, she leaned down to try and get a drink, but lost her footing and fell into the water. As she fell, she cried out, and heard a splash that wasn't her own. She felt someone grab her, and she clinged as she was drug out of the water. A Riolu had saved, and she clinged to him since that day on. Now, he's planning to go out on an adventure, and she has no intentions of letting him leave her behind.

Personality: Amy, due to her young age and attitude, is very impressionable and clingy. When she's picked something up from someone, she tends to apply it however she needs to, just like her ability. When she feels ignored, she'll fuss until someone acknowledges her. However, is the response is negative, she has a nasty habit of trying to run away. She scares easily as well. Due to the traumatic experience she had, she's been fidgety around water and Water-type pokemon in general. She's normally skittish, but it gets worse the more she's around water.

Name: Chris Minothar

Gender: Female

Pokemon: Pidgey

Personality: High-strung: Chris' spontaneous personality makes her variety of behavior an experience to endeavor. Whenever she gets hooked onto something, it is hard to let go. But when something else has her mind, she instantly changes her mind. Adventurous: If there was a place where Chris has never been, she never hesitates to look around. Any new landscapes, plants, caves, mountains, etc that she comes across, she explores every inch of it, noting its existence and savoring the widespread of her domain. Protective: While she's been bullied in her childhood, she gets very picky with whoever she hangs out with. However, when she comes to love and trust something, be it living or inanimate, she guards it with her life.

Nation: Wild Lands

Special Trait: Early Bird

Character History: Chris was born in a heavily forested area, but the grasslands she grew up in were miles from her home. As she grew up, she learned how to climb trees and pick their fruit; hunt rodents and cook their meat; and most importantly, how to survive. Before she left for her first day outside the domain she grew up in, a band of thieves left traces of heavy theft and destruction upon her home, leaving the bloody corpses of her dead parents in the dust. Scarred, Chris went out in vain with emotional defense against anyone who tried to get close to her, but soon she encountered the wildlife that appeared so innocent and sensitive that she chose to trust them more than any other being in the region. It took a while to get the best of both worlds, but she got used to the mundane activities of humans and began to take part in them, keeping close quarters with the wildlife and striving on adventure and friendship as she continued to grow up.
